Let’s keep curling strips of paper! While gluing the first three pieces of my garland I stopped and said, “Aww!! A snowman!”

These are about 1/4″ width.

Curl the strips varying in tightness. I glued the ends so they don’t flippy flappy around.

Glue the three together then add your ribbon to hang.

Aww! Hi snowman!

25 Days of Christmas

Paper Ornaments Edition!

DSC01609_20171128112232547 (1)

My husband and I recently sold our condo in Vermont and moved down to North Carolina! An opportunity came very quickly so we ended up renting for a year while we get adjusted to a new location and can house hunt at our leisure.

Most of our things are in storage. Pretty much everything but the necessities – including ALL of the Christmas stuff. Sigh. We found our tiny tree in the front of the storage unit soooo I convinced Ryan to put up a small tree. I stared at a naked tree until I though of something – paper ornaments! We have a half a ream of copy paper, my glue gun and the internet. Perfect!

Come along with me in my journey of filling a tree with only paper ornaments!

Happy Thanksgiving!

There may  be many reasons you are not willing or able to cook a Thanksgiving meal but that doesn’t mean you have to settle for a Hungry Man! There are a number of online options and many grocery stores have options for every budget. Here is a small list of companies that offer prepared Thanksgiving and Holiday meals.

Grocery Stores

tday order

Check your local grocery stores for a list of options. Some of these also have the same box you can donate to a family in need. Visit your grocery deli or the deli platter section online to order. Hannaford, Price Chopper, Publix, Shaws, Market Basket, and Whole Foods have available dinners.

Local Restaurants

Look for flyers in your local restaurants and cafes for any holiday meal services. These have an earlier order date than online and grocery options so plan ahead. Some of the top choices are Cracker Barrel and Boston Market. If you’re from Northern Vermont, check out Chef’s Corner catering menu and for my Southern NH friends, check out Angela’s Pasta & Cheese! A lot of restaurants are open for Thanksgiving and reservations go quick for those offered by inns and hotels. Just Google ‘thanksgiving dinner in ___” to find options in your area.

Online Services
